About Company

Introduction

MEC was founded over two decades ago to address an urgent need for Carbon producer in Egypt and the Middle East, to serve and provide the Carbon requirements of steel, cement, water purification and metallurgical industries.
The Steel industry has been booming over the last decade in Egypt and the Middle East, which has seen a production capacity dramatic increase.
MEC has been established to meet this boom at the right time.

MEC is an anthracite drying, screening, and bagging plant serving the steel industry carbon requirements with annual production capacity of 200’000 – 240’000 MT.

We produce the full range of products of Anthracite material, like Carbon Charge, Laddle addition and carbon injection, sizes and moisture content to be tailored to the customer’s needs.

We have all the packaging options like Jumbo Bags , papers bags and we deliver also in silo trucks.

At MEC we realize that our most important asset is our People, and we are proud to say that more than 90% of our current workforce, have been part of our team since the start of production more than two decades ago We took great care in selecting a dynamic team that is results-oriented, with great attention to detail in order to service the exact needs of our clients.

Management & Support Team

We have a management and support team working at the company headquarters in Cairo, which handles the day-to-day operations of the company as well direct coordination with our clients. This team includes management, sales, purchasing, financial services and information technology.

The Plant Team was painstakingly selected in order to provide the most efficient, highest quality of production possible, while at the same time ensuring that all workers work under the safest possible conditions.

The Quality Control and Safety team enforces OSHA regulations to make sure workers at every stage of production work in an environment that is as safe as possible with access to the latest safety gear.
